Sophisticated But Comfortable Casual Shoes?

I have a Zappos gift card. What should I buy that's stylish, casual, and comfortable?
My go-to shoes of choice for the past few years have been Converses/P.F. Flyers. But being petite and Asian, I am always mistaken for being younger than I am (24 and often mistaken for a teenager), so I want to move away from canvas sneakers. Ladies and/or gents, can you recommend some casual everyday footwear that's a little more sophisticated but also comfortable? I have some very comfortable shoes (Merrells), but they're not stylish at all. Also, flats don't interest me, because I need shoes with good arch support and my feet are small (in the Size 5-6ish range), so finding comfortable flats that fit right is a challenge. Anything else is fair game.
Thoughts?

If you live somewhere where it isn't warm all the time, you probably want some tall leather boots. Stylish, versatile and comfortable.

I have an idea that is not canvas! Or sneakers!
The classic Chelsea boot is back right now - in a wide variety of styles and prices. Good with pants, jeans, skirts with opaque tights, and ageless.

How about some ladies brogues for example? Better support than ballerina flats to start out with and you can add arch supporting insoles in addition if you want. I wear mine both with my smart work trousers and with jeans, my cousin wears hers with tights and a skirt. So they can be quite versatile, especially if you stay away from the very clumpy styles.

If heels still count as comfortable for you, I'm a big fan of chunky-heeled leather boots. Pretty casual look (works with jeans) but definitely more stylish and less casual than your converse. Something like this or this.

I wear mine to work regularly but would agree with her that if I'm going to be on my feet all day I want a bit more arch support.
