CompleteWasteofQuestionFilter: Who's the fortyish, extremely lanky, English or English-accent-assuming male actor who has a prominent nose and long teeth, and wears his dark hair in a ponytail? I think he has worn a lab coat and/or black trenchcoat in an American television show in the past decade, but I cannot remember which Nerdy Scientist Guy he might have portrayed.

Best answer: Is it Steve Valentine from Crossing Jordan, AKA my boyfriend from 2002-2005?

Steve Valentine? He played one of the forensics guys on Crossing Jordan while it was on.

Thirding "Steve Valentine," but offering a picture that dates back to when he was on the show.

Response by poster: Yesss. Man. I even thought he might be Scottish, and cast as a Nigel (often, apparently, according to imdb), but for some reason the google just wasn't behaving. And how could I have forgotten those sideburns? Thanks, everyone, now I can sleep tonight.

I used to wonder if he was related to Anthony Valentine, but it seems not. They've got a certain similarity in the face.

I've never heard him speak but according to IMDB, his hometown is Bishop Briggs, Scotland.
