Seeking teaching job in Boston. Help?

What is the hiring climate like in Boston for recent graduates with little to no teaching experience but with my qualifications?
Asking for my sister:
I am considering relocating to Boston from Toronto, Canada for the next year and am hoping to find a teaching job in the public school or private school system. (Substitute teaching is okay too.) I have a Master’s degree in elementary education (K-6) from a NY state college, am certified through NY state, and have extensive social work experience working with underprivileged, inner-city children and youth.
What is the demand for teaching jobs in Boston? If you are currently teaching in Boston or the area--what are the prospects? Any other information, including salary, is welcome too. Thanks!

Unless you have ELL training or Special Education certification then I agree with the pp poster that jobs will be hard to find- though having said that the Boston Public Schools(BPS) is recruiting still for it's "turn-around" schools and pilot schools can also have openings because generally speaking traditional BPS teachers don't want to work for either type of school because the hours required are longer then the "traditional" BPS. There are also a lot of charters opening in the next year.
