What's your preferred method of getting comics on an iPad?

What's the easiest way to manage comics (cbr) on an ipad? Dropbox or is there an easier way to upload them. If dropbox, how can I combine 40 CBR issues into one cbr that I can readt through without stopping every ten minutes to download and re-load a new issue?

My current system: Stick CBR files in Dropbox. Use Dropbox on my ipad to download. When Dropbox can't read the file, I read using Stanza. Trouble is, if I'm at a local wifi spot that I share with a bunch of people, the process of downloading and converting to Stanza seems to take more than 2 minutes per issue.

There's got to be a better way, right?

Thanks!

I use Comic Zeal to store and read CBRs and CBZs on my iPad, and I'd recommend it (or any other app designed specifically for comics) any day over general-purpose solutions like Dropbox, Stanza, GoodReader, etc.

I buy them via Comixology and let their app handle stashing them for me.

+1 to Comic Zeal, although I wish it had some sort of tagging or other organization options besides folders.

Most comic readers (Cloudreader is my favorite) allow you to drag and drop inside of iTunes. Click on you iPad after syncing, hit the Apps tab and scroll down. Below the picture of your homescreen there will be a box listing all of the apps that allow drag and drop on the left. Click on your reader app, and drop the cbrs into the box. You don't even have to sync afterwards. Its a lot faster and easier than than dropbox.

Comic Zeal with iTunes "File Sharing" (as described above by rtimmel) has worked like a dream for me.
