Help me find this book

In my school days I found a book on something related to Planetary Physics or Gravity that interested me so much I spent many hours stepping through it. (Very Geek) From what I can remember is that it was a black hardcover book with a releatively smaller size to it. I remember it being copyrighted very early like 50's or 60's. Anyone know how I might be able to find this book for nostalgic reasons?

Best answer: I'm not sure how you could find the specific book you read at the time (maybe by contacting the library where you found it?), but it might be The Universe by Isaac Asimov?

From "smaller black book," my mind went right to Fundamentals of Astrodynamics by Bate, Mueller, and White. But my copy is paperback, and it's from the early 70s, so maybe not what you're thinking of. It's a good book though!

Your post reminded me of Astrophysical Concepts by Martin Harwit, but that didn't come out until '73.

Response by poster: OK, I remember the book being older than '73. I will go to the library and see if I can find it again. It's probably so old tha they probably don't have it. I could also check my hisory, but it was so long ago. Thanks for the help
