Can't remember the name of this French-canadian children series

Salut! I'm trying to figure out the name of an educational (and meant to be entertaining) French-Canadian children series that featured a clown (of some sort) in the title. I’m pretty sure it was made and produced in the 90s.
I was enrolled in a french immersion program in Nova Scotia, Canada, in the 1990s and we would often watch this series of French-Canadian videos—they featured skits and maybe some songs, the actors were regular and one of the main characters was a Ronald McDonald-type clown character (who didn't speak). I've googled and googled, but nothing has come up.
Hope this rings some bells!

Response by poster: I really thought that was it, but after looking at some pictures of the series you mentioned I realized that wasn’t it. The clown I’m referring to definitely had some sort of fro going on (at least from what I recall). Thanks, though!

Yep, I saw it in the 80s as reruns on PBS.
Memory is so weird: as I was reading the question, I couldn't remember anything about it, but started humming the theme song--and as I watched the Youtube video, I experienced a specific taste-memory of stomach acid, bile, saltines, Campbell's chicken soup and Sprite. The only time I ever got to see it was when I was at home sick throwing up.
