Going south, what should I not miss?
In a couple months I am planning to fly to Dallas, rent a van, drive and drive and drive, sleep in van and basically spend 6-8 weeks exploring the South with a strong emphasis on music. What should I not miss? [more inside]

Suggestions for outdoorsy destinations in north-east of North America?
Partner and I are planning to visit family in Michigan (Lake Huron) & Philadelphia in August. Since we are going all that way (from London), we thought perhaps we should also try and do something just ourselves for say 4-7 days but have no ideas. Is there anything like "Grand Canyon" level must-see in that area? [more inside]
