Where do I go from here?

I am planning on bicycling around Manhattan Island on Sunday. According to this the NE corner of Manhattan is pretty much inaccessible. I know I can ride through most of Inwood Park. Is there an alternative route that would get me to Harlem River Drive without going through the middle of Inwood/Dyckman St.? Also, are there other current detours off the bike trails that I should be aware of?

Securing My Stuff At Coney Island

Yes, it's an NYC-filter, and an NYC-beach-filter to boot. But I'm having a devil of a time finding this out - are there lockers I can use as a solo visitor to Coney Island to secure my stuff while I'm swimming? [more inside]

Things to do on Staten Island near an express bus stop.

My daughter (3.5) is named Simone and is called Sim. It has come to her attention that there are a bunch of buses that say SIM on them, and she would like to go on one. These are Staten Island/Manhattan express buses, so it looks like we are going to Staten Island. Please help us find something to do there very near one of the express bus stops [more inside]

Kid Friendly Mid/Upscale Dining in NYC

Myself, my wife and our nine year old son will be visiting NYC in August for a few days. It will be our wedding anniversary while we're out there, and we're hoping to find a mid/upscale restaurant to enjoy. My wife and I usually would splurge on a multi-course meal someplace really nice, and while our son is pretty adventurous when it comes to food (most recently he enjoyed stealing some sweetbreads off my plate), you know, he's still a kid. Three days in Chelsea NYC

cruel summer's question prompts mine. I too will be in NYC, staying in Chelsea. Suggestions about good Chelsea restaurants, bars with great cocktails, offbeat things to do? I've been to the Whitney, have walked the Highline.

four days in nyc, working introvert edition

Hello! I’m interning at a company and visiting one of their offices in NYC from June 27-June 30. I’m leaving NYC in the evening on the 30th, so I have a few evenings to explore the city. I’d love to see some of the sights, but I’m also an introvert and can be easily overwhelmed by a lot of social interaction/external stimulus. I’m staying in a hotel in the Lower East Side, close to Soho and Little Italy, and would prefer things that are in that area though a short train ride away would also be ok. More details on things I like to do inside! [more inside]

New things to do in New York City (since 2018)

I'm visiting New York City from Australia for the first time since late 2018 and am looking for new things to do. I've spent plenty of time there in the past (7+ months), so I'm specifically looking for stuff that has opened in the last few years (I realise covid will have impacted this) and am not too interested in the standard tourist things that have been around forever.

My son will be getting married in Chelsea in the fall. My brother wants to drive to NYC for the wedding (himself, sister-in-law, adult niece, and service dog). Where to eat (possibly take out) in NYC, UWS to NYP?

As noted in my last question, I will be on the UWS in NYC this weekend and will depart via Amtrak at NYP. I'd like to eat before my 7pm train. I don't plan on eating inside, including any of the semi-enclosed outdoor dining "sheds." Patio or takeaway required. There are a million options, of course, but do you have anyplace you'd recommend in particular at this point in 2021? Any cuisine is good! [more inside]
