Heading to Detroit the first weekend in May to see the Diego Rivera/Frida Kahlo exhibit at DIA - would love any recommendations for food (hot dogs through high class) and we would dig some "shopping local" recs, too. Thanks!

I have a car with a loan I am currently paying that is titled, registered, and insured in Ohio (I am an Ohio resident). I would like to give this car to my grandfather and continue to pay on it, but he is a resident of Michigan. Can I register and insure the car in both states so that he can drive it legally in Michigan?

My mom and I are planning on taking a weekend baking class at Zingerman's Bakehouse in Ann Arbor. She could fly to Chicago and we could drive together, which will introduce some inconveniences, or she could fly to Detroit and I could take Megabus to Ann Arbor, which will introduce other inconveniences. Over the last decade, I've heard many rumours of informative guided tours, of groups and individuals, BY groups and individuals, of the area destroyed during the 1967 riots in Detroit. I have always wanted to go, and am now trying to plan something with a friend the weekend of October 12th. The only solid lead I had, an elderly history buff and longtime Detroit resident who had given tours to family friends in the past, is no longer giving tours, and google doesn't list any tours with this particular theme. I am very much hoping someone here can help!

My wife and kids are flying into Detroit for my grandfathers 90th birthday. They have never experienced Michigan in the summertime. I would like to find a nice lake to rent a house / cottage within a few hours of Detroit. We will only have a few days after the party so recommending Traverse or Ludington is probably not going to work without feeling really rushed. Can anyone recommend a lake / area within a few hours of Detroit where my wife can experience the beauty that is Michigan?

I'm looking for a nice restaurant in Traverse City, MI to take my wife for our anniversary. I am looking to spend under $100 as we are on a pretty tight budget while camping. We don't need super fancy but a non-chain would be nice. I prefer a non-ethnic restaurant, hopefully one that has gluten-free food offerings. (I have celiac's.)
