Boston to Fire Island?

Share the road, please.
I bike frequently in Cambridge and Boston and have been having problems with rude motorists (none, thankfully, involving injuries). On reflection, I think my actions in response to these incidents have been counterproductive. What should I be doing differently? [more inside]

Boston North End Apt Search
Hey everyone... I have the dreaded task of looking for an apartment in Boston this spring. My boyfriend and I are looking for a 1 bedroom in the North End for no more than $1200 with heat and hot water. I know this will be pretty difficult to find, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find apartment postings by landlords themselves in stores in the north end, a website, etc. [more inside]

Is going to a concert in Boston solo a reasonable idea?
What can you tell me about Agganis Arena at Boston University and the area it's in? I have a ticket to see Pavement there this Saturday, and right now it looks like I'll be going alone if I go at all. I'll also need a place to spend the night, since I'm coming from out of town. I'm a 20 year old female. Is this safe? Crazy? Risky but doable? [more inside]

Cheap reliable car for Boston-area parents of infant?
Please help me choose a first car (and ideally a Boston-area dealer). Baby coming late August, we live in Cambridge (off-street parking), wife's new to driving. We want: baby-safe, reliable, envirofriendlyesque, comfortable, good trunk space, city-savvy. Used is fine. [more inside]

You were in Boston and you didn't see _____?!
I've been to Fenway, The Commons, and Harvard. I'm going back for a week's training (staying at Boston U Dorm with no car). I'm not the most excitable or prolific tourist, so I'm just looking for a few must see things. Just to give some random samples of myself: I like Indie Rock, Modern Art, and if Pax was in town I would have loved to check it out.
