A Snowflake Visits Denver

I'll be in Denver for work this month from the 17th-23rd. I've read the many (quite helpful) questions advising about what's great to see in Denver, so I don't need to hear about the obvious stuff, or even the next tier "wanna see Denver like a local" somewhat less obvious stuff. But I'm a snowflake: beer makes me sleepy, pot will get me fired, and other snowflaky, specific stuff. [more inside]

Uber alternative in Denver

I need a failsafe way of getting from Fredericksburg, Colorado to the Denver airport by a specific time in July. There's Ubers that go to and from that area, but in my experience sometimes you book the Uber then they don't show, or they take another job, or whatever. I can't have that happen in this scenario. Do you know any transportation services in the area? [more inside]

Sunday night dinner in or near Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, CO?

I'm going to be in Denver and staying in the cherry creek neighborhood, and am meeting a friend who is also not from Denver Sunday evening. What restaurant(s) would the good inhabitants of Denver recommend? One pescatarian (leaning towards veggie) and one omnivore, assume we want to stay under $100/person, but we don't need fancy

What to do in Denver, besides the obvious (no, not that)

My husband and I will be visiting Denver for a few days in June. It'll be our first time there. What are some unique things to do/things to see besides the beautiful landscape? Something I wouldn't necessarily find on a google search. Basically, this question from 2015, but updated.

Renting a Fragrance Free Airbnb?

How can I find a *truly* fragrance free Airbnb in Denver? I need to travel for a few days in June and am severely sensitive to fragrances. I’m feeling overwhelmed about finding accommodations, and am open to suggestions that aren’t Airbnb! But I have had terrible luck with hotel situations and people in adjacent rooms using heavy fragrance, so prefer something that is free standing. Are there cabins or something else I’m not thinking of? Do I just need to message every host that pops up in the area individually to inquire? If so, how do I word it so I don’t end up somewhere I can’t stay?

Rocky Mountain Thai--good delivery or other ideas in Denver?

Hello Mefites. I just found out that pretty much the whole family of a good friend in Denver has tested positive for COVID (her husband and three kids). They are quarantined in their house and our friend group wants to help by sending meals but none of us live there, so I'm looking for suggestions. [more inside]

Long winter weekend in Denver

I'll be in Denver, late December, for a four day mini vacation. I'm up for ice and snow related activities, good food and drinks. I'm probably staying in the city center area and won't have a car, but could rent one if needed. Thank you for any suggestions you have.

Best places to drive around looking at scenery Denver-adjacent

I'm going to be in Denver on Saturday and want to spend the day driving around looking at mountains and trees and whatnot. I know that that stuff isn't exactly "close" to Denver but I will have about 4 hours to kill so it's fine. Where should I head up into? Open to any and all recommendations. [more inside]

Rocky Mountains for the Acrophobic

My family will be traveling to Fort Collins, Colorado in about a month for a wedding. We will be flying into Denver and then driving up. The kids (ages 6 and 11) have never been in the Rockies before and we'd like to enjoy nature and the mountains. The difficulty is that Mrs. WtP has a history of severe acrophobia leading to panic attacks when driving on mountain roads. The acrophobia may be rooted in damage to her vestibular system. (She had severe ear infections as a child, required surgery, and has partial hearing loss in one ear.) [more inside]
