Would I be insane to travel to Paris next month?
I saw a headline about how, with flights incredibly cheap because of COVID, Millenials are taking the opportunity to travel. My first thought: oof, bad idea. My second thought: wait, how cheap are we talking? [more inside]

Paris filter: looking to spend NYE in Paris, with the locals
What it says on the tin. My friend and I have a [long] layover in Paris coinciding with NYE, and would like to spend it at a bar. Many of the previous recommendations on here are a few years old, so I'm wondering if there might be newer, more relevant suggestions. [more inside]

Paris for two weeks, solo - what do to in free time?
I (mid-30s female) am going to Paris for work September 30 - October 14, staying in the 5th on Rue des Ecoles near the Panthéon/Sorbonne/Cluny Museum. The nearest Metros are Maubert-Mutualité and Cluny-La Sorbonne. I'll be by myself the whole time (apart from work hours). I have a little passable classroom French. What awesome things can do I in my fairly ample, but mostly after-hours and weekends free time? [more inside]

Watching the World Cup final in Paris
I’m in Paris, staying just south of Norte Dame. I’d love to find a convenient place to watch the World Cup final tomorrow. It starts at 5pm local. It might be just 2 of us, or possibly a group as large as 10, so flexible is best.
Bonus side question: is there a good nearby place for breakfast out on a Sunday? Most of the places I found through previous AskMe questions are closed Sundays, or are far from me.

Neighbourhood suggestions for a week plus in Paris
Paris is such a big city that I'm at a loss for picking a neighbourhood to stay in next month. Neighborhood descriptions tend to be things like "this place is full of tourists" or "this is where the 20 years olds go drinking" but not "hey 39 year old who's into craft beer and vintage video games, you should stay here." So where should we stay? [more inside]

Should we skip Paris?
I moved recently to London from the US, and my mother is visiting me from Los Angeles for the next two weeks. We had planned a 3 day jaunt to Paris via Eurostar but now I'm wondering if we should skip it due to the political unrest. I can't tell if we're being overly cautious or if it makes sense to just duck out this time. [more inside]

Paris after dark
I will be visiting Paris in early December for work. I'll be pretty busy during the days, but should have my evenings free. I've been to Paris before and have seen most of the major sights, but looking for recommendations for unique sights that may be best seen after dark. [more inside]

Special birthday in Paris, in September...but not too formal?
We’re going to be in Paris in September, and my husband’s birthday falls in that time. I’d like to take him to a special event or dinner on that day (it’s a Sunday, if that matters). The only caveat is that we’re traveling with backpacks, and he understandably doesn’t want to bring any formal clothes, like a jacket. So what’s special but not with the requirement of a jacket? Money isn’t really an object. Thanks!

Seeking activities pass or cultural map for teenager in Paris
My recent-high-school-grad 17-year-old niece will be in Paris for a month, starting next week. She's been there a few times, and as before will stay with a family outside the city. Her grandmother and I wish to gift her with something that might goose her to venture outside her comfort zone in the 'burbs and check out cultural riches in the city. [more inside]

Classical/Art/Experimental Music London/Paris Mid June
We're visiting London, Paris, and Belgium this June. I'd really like to catch a show (probably something in the East End) and see some sort of classical music during our trip. I don't really know where to look to figure out what is going on. [more inside]

Small sights in Paris?
We'll be in Paris at the end of this month, and I'm looking for some personal recommendations. We've done the major museums already, and we have the restaurant angle pretty well covered. I'm looking for some small places that are good for casual browsing and window shopping. Things we like off the top of my head: Antiques and most things vintage, estate jewelry, art/design, books, stationary, decorative arts, ceramics, gardens, and related things. Have you any thoughts?
