Shelter-in-Place + Apartment Leases + Significant Others, Significantly

My partner and I didn't intend to move in forever when they joined me in my apartment at the start of the stay-at-home orders, but three months in, we're going to make it permanent. We're still under a stay-at-home order (though more relaxed than at the beginning -- moving is permitted). How do I get them on the lease with as little potential (legal) risk as possible? summer prepping, COVID-19 edition

I am of the opinion that the second wave coming soon due to premature reopening in many states will be an unmitigated disaster, and many states are going to turn into New York. I feel we are in a brief bubble of respite due to SIP. How are you preparing for the summer mess? I'm assuming it will not be a good idea to go anywhere during the second wave, but am not assuming any complete collapse. What are you stocking up on and attempting to prepare? I know reopening could be done reasonably safely with lots of contact tracing and testing but I don't see the USA getting it's act together at all.

How to approach management about long-term remote work?

One or both of my partner and I would like to approach our respective management about continuing to work from home, remotely, in perpetuity. Any advice on how to approach management for the best likelihood of success? [more inside]

Upstairs neighbor renovating during shelter-in-place

Our upstairs neighbor has decided that the current coronavirus pandemic is the best time to redo the entire apartment. It wasn't great living under them tearing up the floor for a whole week, and then painting has been a lot louder and with more sawing and hammering than expected. How can I find someone to call either from the city or the county to either confirm this is allowed or report him? [more inside]

DIY non-dairy yogurt

Have you made non-dairy yogurt at home and had it come out reasonably yogurty? I’ve successfully made delicious cow’s milk yogurt but would also like to do others. For allergy reasons, I would like to use coconut or oat milk. I’m looking for suggestions and tried-and-true recipes, as given current availability issues, I would cry if I wasted a carton of oat milk. Thanks in advance!

Self-isolating: How okay are long-distance walks in an urban area?

Partner and I are lucky enough to be employed, paid, and able to self-isolate in our home for the indefinite future. Partner has a bit of cabin fever and has been going on long daily walks. Is this okay self-isolating behavior now, and, if so, is there a point where it won't be? We're in a major metroploitan area in the US under a shelter-in-place order which specifies "taking walks outside" as an approved behavior. [more inside]

What is "the long haul"?

Can you point me to sources that explain how long I should expect to stay at home? I would like to understand if we are staying until the top of the curve, the end of the curve, etc. I would like to read about how people will be making those decisions.
