Hole in Flexsteel Kashmira sofa fabric

The local furniture superstore has a Flexsteel couch in Kashmira on crazy clearance. It has a small (one inch?) vertical tear in the back, which doesn't show because the couch will go against a wall.
  1. Will the hole likely spread over time? There won't be any extra impact or load on that spot.
  2. Could we stitch it up with fine thread and a tiny needle? Or would those holes weaken it even more?
Thanks!!

Help me reupholster leather desk chair

I have a leather computer desk chair that I got 2 years ago that I really like and they don't sell it anymore, it is very ergonomic. I have tried out other chairs and not found one as good. The leather has torn in several places and I need to reupholster it. I don't want to take it somewhere to be reupholstered becasue a) I don't have the money and B) I would have nothing to sit on while it is in the shop. The thing is I don't know anything about reupholstering , let alone what looks somewhat complicated due to all the panels, in it. I have made a video showing in detail the chair, and the problems with it. I will be very grateful to anyone who can help with with this. This is the video.

How do I go about finding a seamstress to re-cover cushions?

How can I find a seamstress to do some moderately difficult work, specifically re-covering foam cushions with provided fabric, and is this the best way to go about doing the job? [more inside]

All about sewing machine cabinets

So I've been coveting a sewing machine cabinet for a couple of reasons. They're expensive, but I find affordable used ones at a local thrift store and on craigslist pretty regularly. However, I don't know what I'm doing! [more inside]

Zipper For My Lovesac

I have a Lovesac (circa 2003) with a microsuede cover in the 'Ton-O-Love' size (now called MovieSac) that has a broken zipper. I've been to three alterations places trying to get the thing fixed with no help. Finally, I found someone who will replace it if I can find the zipper (she was unable to). It's 140" long and the color is white/gray. Is this something I can purchase online? I'd like to find one that won't break again. [more inside]
