Why won't "Open File" Calendar alerts stick?

Using flatbed scanner to import business cards. Mac OS x.
Just want to use flatbed scanner to import business cards (about 80 a week) to Mac contacts or directly to a spreadsheet. Mac OS X here. Any advice on new apps or using existing stock Mac software apps or Google Drive to import would be appreciated. 2011 Mac Mini DIY fusion drive issues...help please
The stock drive on my mid 2011 mac mini, model 5,2, recently became a brick.
So, I got the idea I would create a fusion drive using a 120gb SSD and 1tb HDD.
When I start the machine in (command+R) recovery mode, the SSD and HDD appear as separate drives. I had been expecting for disk utility to list the drives in RED with the option to "fix". How can I turn these two drives into a fusion drive? Is a Fusion drive even necessary?

Some really horrible stuff was going down at work. I took absolutely no part in it, and even acknowledged that it may not be legal. I did this all over email, and even received responses back acknowledging this. I was explicitly threatened that if i wasn’t going to be a part of it, then i was to “forget about it or lose your job”. So recently, they all got busted. And like a bunch of cowards, they all blamed it on me. And because I’m the low girl on the totem pole, it looks like I might have been the one doing all this stuff (without ANY proof). How do I get my Finder icon back?
Not satisfied with the dated icon used for the finder on my Mac, I did a little research and discovered a way to replace the icon using System>Library>CoreServices>Dock>Finder.png. I replaced the default PNG files with an updated version. They were labeled correctly as well (finder.png, finder@2x.png) but when I inputed the dock restart command in terminal, the space where the icon was supposed to be was totally empty!

Does this feature which exists for Word for Windows exist in Mac Word?
If I'm using Word for Windows, I can double click at the bottom of a page to create one big page. But if I double click at the bottom of a document inside Word on MacOS it opens up the footer prompt. Does Word for Mac have a similar "join pages" feature?

Can you annotate folders in OS X?
On my work computer (Mac OS 10.7.5), I usually organize my projects by putting all the files related to a single project in a single folder. I try to give the folder a descriptive name, but sometimes this is difficult if there are two projects that are kinda similar. I think Lynx broke my Mac's Internets
I decided to test my website in Lynx for OS X, but for some reason it loaded a version from May. Now, whenever I load the front page from any other browser on my computer, it displays that old version. Reverse OS upgrade on a Mac
I have a 2007 era Mac Mini running 10.4 Tiger, that I'd like to upgrade to a brand new iMac (that comes with 10.6 Snow Leopard). However, due to my software, I'd like to keep using on 10.4 the new iMac. Will the new iMac allow me to install Tiger on it, using my original 10.4 install discs from the Mac Mini?
How to auto-wirelessly back up one mac to another?
I have two newish macbook pro laptops (with OS X 10.6) and want one to automatically and wirelessly back-up to the other one so will always have a "hot backup" on the second machine (I inherited the second one, so seems a reasonable use). FWIW, I have DSL with wireless modem in the house, so wouldn't want the ability for the machines to talk with each other to allow inadvertant access from anyone from the web. How to set it up?

Recently my finder has gotten really buggy - even though I have disabled spaces and expose they will spontaneously launch. Also when I open folders in the finder they will flash repeatedly before stopping and letting me click into them. I also have a hard time renaming files by clicking into the file name on the finder.

OS X 10.5.6 Dock remains hidden
I have OS X 10.5.6 and Logitech V470 bluetooth mouse.
1. When I hide the dock it stays hidden and there is no way for me to get the dock to reappear without turning off autohide
2. My courser works sporadically
