Went to Southeast Asia a few months ago and just didn't finish my doxycycline (30 days 1 pill a day). I stopped about a week short. I am a fool. I don't think I have malaria or any other bacterial infection but have I effectively done myself harm in some way?

A friend of mine went to fill a prescription for doxycycline for Lyme Disease. The pharmacist refused to give it to her unless she had a pregnancy test. Is this legal in New York State? If not what can be done about it?

Has anyone prone to yeast infections been able to protect themselves while taking antibiotics? I want to start taking antibiotics (doxycycline) to treat my acne. It's my last resort. I am traveling to Kolkata for a week around Christmas. I am researching shots/meds requirements and am coming up against recommendations for malaria protection. I'm reluctant to use doxycycline or Lariam. I'm looking for personal experience info about the different options. Other travel advice, tips, or recommendations are also welcome!
