I can't seem to gin up a good Google query about this, partly because "Fractional currency" apparently refers to something else.
Most currencies in use in the world have a 1/100 subdivision -- e.g., in the US, our currency is the dollar, but each dollar is made up of 100 cents.

If the money supply is growing at a slower rate due to tighter lending practices, shouldn't the dollar be rising, even in the face of Fed-rate cutting?
