Getting old checks reissued?

I have 5 year old checks I miraculously found that might help me get through a couple months of rent. They're from companies I consulted with, and they're large established companies. One got absorbed by another company and the other is still around. Should I get them reissued or go to the bank? Both say void after 180 days, but I assume that does not void the check? [more inside]

Track pending checks online with Chase?

In the old days, I'd write all transactions in my checkbook. Nowadays, when I use a check to pay for something big (like my son's daycare tuition), I have a written record, but it doesn't get tracked online with all my Chase debit card purchases. Is there any way to add notes about pending checks to my Chase account? [more inside]

Bank address when ordering 3rd party checks?

I want to order checks from a third party where it's not stupid expensive. There are blanks for "Bank Name" and "Bank Address" on the form. My bank is Wells Fargo (previously Wachovia, previously... etc.). Wells Fargo has many addresses--which one do I put here? (I do not have, and have never had, any Wells Fargo checks to compare to--my most recent checkbook was still Wachovia.)

I need to order checks - cheaply but not scammily, please!

I bank with Chase, and they gave me two free boxes of checks when I opened my account in 2008 which have lasted me until now. I called them up and they want to charge me $28/box plus tax and delivery, which seems ridiculous. I don't know anything about how third-party checking orders work, though, and would like to make sure I order through a reputable place. [more inside]

What is 90 days, really?

Doing a long-delayed errand, depositing a few checks from various and sundry rebates. One has a date of 10/30/12 and a statement on it declaring "Not valid after 90 days". 90 days after 10/30 is.... today, January 28th. If I cash the check when I go to work in the morning, and my bank accepts the check today, then processes it through to the originating bank a day or two later, will I ultimately get hit with a returned-check fee? Help with complicated problem

I have a curbside mailbox and mail theft is common in Utah (http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,600129714,00.html).
