We defaulted on a credit card balance repayment plan through our bank. Their collections arm said they would reduce the overall amount owed, but I'm unemployed and it's still too much to repay. Do I have any other options? [more inside]

Someone has claimed that their business bank account does not allow ACH transactions for "fraud prevention." I am not familiar with any banking institution in the U.S. that prevents usage of this basic feature. Am I missing something?

I'm getting set to take a position in Japan for a year or more. I have a recurring payment I make to a friend on a money transfer app - PayPal usually - which then charges my credit card. But now my paycheck will be going to a Japanese bank. So can I pay my US credit card with a Japanese bank? And if so, what specifics should I expect? (transfer fees etc)

My 13 year old has a bank account that she has had since she was five. It's connected to my husband's and my bank account, showing that she is a minor and that we could get into it if we wanted because she is 13, but her name is on the account. So with that account, can't she have Paypal? She is getting into modeling and they want to pay her through Paypal, but I would like it to be under her own personal paypal just so that it is separate from My paypal. I heard that you have to be over eighteen to have Paypal. She does not have a credit card, but she does have the bank account with her name on it, so that could be how she is verified through the Paypal. Thanks in advance!

Small change embarrassment: After buying an eBay item I had $4.20 in my Paypal account. Unluckily my eBay seller fees were charged at the same time for $4.35. I now presumably have a negative balance of -$0.15 in my account. I have added $10 from my bank account (which has money in it sufficient to cover all this) to Paypal, but it will not clear for a few days. What will happen to my Paypal account.

My sister is having issues with her student loans through Wells Fargo. She has two student loans which appear on the same statement each month -- but Wells Fargo only applies her payment to one loan, and the other loan becomes delinquent. She's been on the phone with them every month for the past 4-5 months regarding this, but it keeps happening. Who has enough muscle to fix this? [more inside]
