Small Batch of Ethical Custom T-Shirts?

My friends and I are thinking about getting custom printed t-shirts with a leftist phrase on them ("Spreadsheet Anarchist"). We only need like six or seven at most and we want them to be ethical (e.g. union made). We're open to stuff like silk screening but don't have experience or equipment. What's the best/most economical way to do this? [more inside]

Scientific evidence that washing your hair daily is fine

I read this article with great interest and a sense of vindication as a die-hard every-day shampooer. But, it seems most of the internet is comprised of heavily anecdotal discussions about how one should care for one's hair. I also see a lot of recommendations for using "salon quality" products rather than "store quality"hair products, but evidence for this also appears to be lacking. MetaHivemind, please help me find scientific, non-anecdotal resources on the effects of shampooing (especially with surfectants) on natural hair oils and overall hair health! I'd also love to see some evidence-based, non-anecdotal information about whether salon quality products truly are superior for hair health than store bought products.

Is there a Trunk Club for butches?

I recently got a new job (yay!) and the dress code is business tending more to formal (ties, not suits). I feel like I might need a stylist to help get me started, but I'm not sure if there's a service out there willing or capable of dressing a plus-sized butch woman. Please tell me this exists! lightweight non-sweater-y cardigans

I have a few cardigans that are my workday staples, but they're ancient. My three favorites are sort of a jersey-like polyester fabric (sort of like a technical/wicking fabric, but no need for actual athletic performance). A bit fitted/tailored (generally wear over short sleeve or sleeveless tops), not super loose and drapey. Can you help me find new ones (more inside)? [more inside]

What to do with old eyeglasses?

I've accumulated several pairs of unwanted old eyeglasses, after a torrid fling with several of those cheap online eyeglass sites. I don't think they're recyclable and the old standby "donate for people in need" doesn't seem to be a thing anymore. What should I do with them? [more inside]

My Détachment

I would like to own this A Détacher brass choker. Unfortunately it's $400, and if that weren't enough, it's also sold out everywhere I've seen it for sale online. I can't find it second-hand on Ebay, Etsy, Poshmark, etc, and realistically probably couldn't afford it even then. Instead help me find duplicates, hopefully lower-priced ones. [more inside]

17" women's workout capris

I'm looking for 17-inch workout capris. I like when they reach just below the knee, but not the 20-inch ones that are popular now. They reach mid-calf and feel weird. [I want something like these but in a medium- thin, base-layer type or regular legging are fine. [more inside]

Looking for information on what it takes to learn to make clothing

I know it's not easy! Then again, I don't need to make it particularly quickly, so I figure it balances out? Regardless, I've always been interested in making clothing, but initially felt it was "not masculine," (ugh) and now am afraid about how much time it would get to get decent. Does this bit of vanity require a physician?

I’m fine with my grey hair. I’m less fine with a few spots on my face. If I want to get rid of them, is this a medical matter or can they do it at spa type places that do laser hair removal and such? [more inside]

Who made these perfect black leggings?

A few years ago, I found perfect PERFECT black, 2x size, thick cotton, heavily elasticated, wide waist leggings that are only just now starting to get a little worn out. The tag has sadly faded and I bought them in a Ross/Marshalls type store in Manhattan so don’t know who made them! Please, please help me find them! I will be eternally grateful! [more inside]

Can you identify this shawl that Selina wore in VEEP?

I would like to know the designer of this shawl that Selina Meyer wore in Season 7, episode 2 of Veep. This website apparently auctioned the entire outfit and they identify the designer of each piece EXCEPT the shawl! All it says is "cashmere." There's a front and a back photo on that site. Bonus question -- where can I buy a similar shawl, preferably ethically made?
