Seeking nice blue corduroy jacket

What started out as a casual interest, has now grown into an obsession...can anyone help me locate a nice dark blue corduroy jacket? Has to be new, not used, good quality, has to be dark blue, not brown, beige or black. Price range $300 to $800. I've looked on the web but have been unsuccessful. If anyone has made that purchase, or can point me in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated.

I would check at a high-end department store like Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom (or Needless Markups)... I saw some really nice blazers last year, including a very sharp blue corduroy jacket. Woulda been awesome with jeans, but I'm just a lowly graduate student so it really doesn't make sense to spend the rent money. The jacket was by Hugo Boss. Or maybe Zegna.

Could you be a little more specific in what you mean by "jacket?"

Sure just pop down to the markets at Hoi An. They had every colour of corduroy there.

Sorry for bringing it up: No Chinese or Vietnamese tailor where you live?

That does seem like a lot to throw down on a corduroy blazer. Brooks Brothers has what you're looking for, and marked down to $160, natch. BlueFly has this Ted Baker one for $135.

OK now I want a blue corduroy blazer...

I also searched in vain for many years for the perfect blue corduroy jacket
I found one in
Princeton Corduroy Sport Coat
Price: $285.00

Our venerable fall blazer is smartly tailored in medium-wale corduroy with woven leather shank buttons and leather elbow patches.
Three-button silhouette with notched lapel, sloped shoulders, single-vent back and four-button detail at cuffs.
Flap welt pockets at the waist, single chest welt pocket. Interior has two welt breast pockets.
Fully lined.
Shell and body lining: 100% cotton. Sleeve lining: 100% viscose. Dry clean. Imported.

it's a great 3 season jacket fall, winter, spring and you can dress it up or down.
It was my answer to years of searching (we had to wear blue jackets at my prep school)
I found a few, one from orvis and wore that for my junior and senior years. Then I grew out of it and orvis no longer made it blue.
It was a few months into my fall term and I found it on my daily musings online. It kept me warm trekking down to the college creek and while curled up by the fire in the commons while doing my seminar reading. It stood by me during my orals and everything in between. It is my perfect jacket to the point I have ordered another it my size and one size up so that I will always have one. I love wearing it, and as soon as it cools down it will take it's place on the chair by desk always there for we I thrust my self out into the world. I hope you too will find your perfect jacket in it as well. I rarely if ever notice that it has leather arm patches their something you don't see from the perspective of wearing it.
