Simple paper people kids book

What is this children's papercraft book? Simple cut-out paper people (like gingerbread men) go on adventures (at sea, in the forest?)
I used to get it out from the library in the mid-late 1980s. It may have been translated to English from some European language. I can't even remember if there were craft activities in it, though it was catalogued in the paper-craft or art area of the library. Mostly I remember making the very smooth shaped gingerbread-man people - cutouts only, no features drawn on - and I think making a paper boat for them
