MusicFilter: Need help locating a Spanish pop/rock band.

Asking for my boyfriend about a band he used to watch videos of on YouTube but can no longer remember the name of.

"I unfortunately have very little information to go on but assure that I have already spent several hours googling for variations of it. I've been finding Spanish lyrics sites woefully inadequate.

I hazily recall one line from the beginning of one song: "me dijo que su boca era de miel / y su cuerpo tambien" and also that there is one song where, as part of the chorus, the band shouts in unison "LAGARTA." I had hoped this was the title of a song but nothing has turned up.

A few of their videos feature the band on beaches or boats in spring-break or vacationing style. They are all fairly young (late teens? early 20s?) and similar in tone to bands such as Blink 182, Green Day, Weezer, Sublime, etc.

I appreciate and thank you for your attention in this matter."

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but Maná is a pretty popular band in South America.

Also, RBD and Sin Bandera are huge on the pop front.

Can you give us more information? Is it all guys/all girls/mixed? When did you hear the song? Do you know what country they're from? The more you know, the easier it is for the rest of us.

Response by poster: As far as I could tell, the band was entirely guys, at least 4, possibly as many as 6.

They had several professionally-made videos on Youtube in 2006, maybe half a dozen, but I haven't heard anything similar since so I am fairly certain they are either no longer popular or are at least not popular in the US.

I do not know which country they are from, unfortunately, though Mexico is more likely than Spain as there were scenes from what I believe were Cancun and an Aztec temple.

Thank you for your suggestions, I will look into these three bands.

Two of my three main guesses (El Canto del Loco and Motel) are on the wikipedia list you say you've already exhausted - Pignoise isn't...

Might as well throw in Calle 13 while we're at it.
