DVD storage solution?

Has anyone seen this DVD storage solution?

I keep 1000 DVDs in white paper sleeves in 10" x 5" x 5" cardboard boxes from Uline (these fit *perfectly*, BTW). But I want to upgrade to something stand-alone that is wood and looks like a real piece of furniture. Since I want to flip through them, drawers are the only option. Can-am doesn't look good to me and are too deep. This piece seems perfect but I can't find one to look at in person and it's very expensive to ship back if I don't like it. Has anyone seen one of these and if so, would the drawers be suitable for holding DVDs in sleeves and not plastic cases?

Other suggestions of furniture that meet the above criteria are also welcome. But I'm not interested in 1. ripping solutions 2. hanging sleeve solutions 3. boxes that don't look like real furniture or require re-stacking rather than being pull-out drawers.

I have read the other threads about DVD storage but they don't seem to have suggestions about wooden furniture with drawers.

Thanks!

The second option looks like you could really get away with an apothecary chest. The drawers there would be deeper but not too deep.

What about this option from Target?

• Organize and store CDs with cool retro flair
• Old-fashioned, library-style pull handles
• Solid oak wood construction, walnut finish
• Organize with 24 drawers
• Holds up to 288 CDs

$199, $195 with coupon code, and best of all... free shipping.

If it holds 288 CDs... DVD sleeves are approx 127mm x 127mm x 1.5mm with a DVD in them, while CD cases are approx 142mm x 142mm x 5mm... giving you 3 DVD sleeves to one CD jewel, bringing you to 864 DVD sleeves.

But you said you want to flip through them.. there are 24 drawers, so all stuffed in there, you can fit around 36 DVDs a drawer, but if you want flipping room, probably about 25 a drawer, bringing you to about 600 DVD sleeves.

Response by poster: An apothecary chest would be fine if it could hold 1000 dvds.

B(oYo)BIES, that's the same piece that I linked to in the question. While it has free shipping, it cannot be returned to a local store and I would have to pay significant shipping to return it. That's what I'm hoping to avoid.

More?
