Cute and Comfy Should Not Be Mutually Exclusive

Recommendations for a robe or comfy wrap dress?

I'm looking for a robe or wrap dress that I can wear over my undies during the summer months.

Preferably:
1) no zippers (just a belt tie, please)
2) pretty or cute (I already have the frumpy part covered, thanks)
3) made of material that feels good (nothing scratchy or hard)
4) something I can wear outside when I take out the garbage and not feel like I'm in my PJs
5) under $100

I'm leaning towards robes like the ones featured here.

A wrap dress would be ideal, but I'm not having much luck finding ones that look comfy enough to lounge around in.

Thanks!

I have something very similar to this. It's from Target. I bought it last year. I'm not sure it's the same wrap pictured. It's very cute and flattering and comfortable. I went to the beach on Friday with girlfriends and they said I looked "glamorous".

You can wear this to take out the garbage. I would feel comfortable running into the grocery store in this over a swimsuit.

I was shopping at Target with a friend this afternoon and saw several cute wrap dresses designed by Isaac Mizrahi. $30-60.

I have this robe from JC Penney. It's very soft (modal rayon). I have it in the ivory/black print, but that might be a tad see-thru for going outside. I have no idea if it meets your definition of cute, though. It's just a short robe, really.

aa (I would hem the sleeves so they're short.)

This seller at etsy will make you a cute lightweight wrap dress in your size and choice of color for $50.00.

I just got this dress from Athleta -- another fabric print here. It is an astonishingly well-designed dress (the wrap is wide enough, the fabric tie is secure) and comfortable (nice cool-feeling fabric) and flattering and everything good for summertime. Now I wish I could buy a few more, in solid colors, and get rid of two Banana Republic wrap dresses I own that look nice but are too awkward to wear.

Best answer: Oh, I have a whole stash of things like that! Gathered throughout the years from various places, even one or two of the only sewing projects I've finished. My favorite is a silk sundress I got from Field's by a company called Fork.

Glimpse.com lets you search all online clothing retailers at once. I typed in "wrap dress" and then refined it by price and got these suggestions.

"Summer dress" pulled up some things that I think are cute and would totally wear out to run to the grocery store up the block (but probably not if someone called and said "hey! want to meet us at the pub?").

Response by poster: Terrific suggestions. Thank you, everyone! Suddenly the horizon is filled with possibilities.

Never seen glimpse.com before, crush. Looks like an awesome tool (that could potentially devastate my bank account!) Thanks!

I think a yukata would meet all of your criteria. They are designed for the summer and are cute. You can find them with a cotton belt woven from the same fabric as the yukata.
