Know of any dog-friendly bars or restaurants in and around Madison, Wisconsin?

I know that Capital Brewery allows dogs in its outdoor beer garden, and Star Liquor gives visiting dogs treats. Michael's Frozen Custard has a special flavor just for dogs, who are welcome in its outdoor seating area. My dog and I are looking for more places that serve refreshments where we can hang out together this summer!

I live in Madison - I'm an undergrad.

Ask around places which have an outdoor seating area - Ian's Pizza has one, and there are a few Mexican restaurants which do around State Street. There are also food kiosks near Memorial Library.

I'm an undergrad at UW, specifically, so I'm familiar with the restaurants around there. Mostly State Street and the isthmus west of the capitol building.

Seconding kldickson, I think most places with outdoor seating in MSN (especially State St. and King St.) will be places you can get away with having a well-behaved dog, but I certainly don't know the rules about this. I've heard of folks taking their dogs to the lakeside beergarden at the Union on campus, even though "please, no dogs" is posted.
(FWIW, I used to take my dog by canoe a little ways down the Yahara river from where it leaves Lake Monona and have a beer on the riverside bar of what is now the Bourbon St. Grill, but I'm not sure if you can still do that.)
Unfortunately, Pet Friendly Travel has no listings for Madison, so if you have a great time with your dog somewhere, maybe post it.
