Weird Black Hole in Corner on Mac

I have an Intel Macbook with a fairly large 2" diameter black circle floating in the bottom right corner...

move the mouse in and it disappears as well but you can move the mouse out again. This black circle has no other known effect but it is scaring us. Is this a virus? Is someone spying on us through it? Anyone heard of this. Thank yOU!

I'm immediately suspecting physical damage to the LCD. If it's still under warranty, get it replaced.

Is it a perfect circle? I'm wondering if it's an app that's lost its display mojo. Try activating Expose (F11) and see if it moves. If it doesn't, it's probably damage.

When you boot up the computer, there's a familiar white screen with the apple logo. Does it show up in this screen?

Can you take a screenshot and post it? If the hole shows up in the screenshot, I'm pretty sure that means it's not as serious as a broken LCD screen.

If it's not physical damage, I'm wondering if it's maybe that speech recognizer thing, but somehow broken.
