Blackberry email privacy

Blackberry privacy: the Blackberry user has the option to get an email receipt and a read confirmation from other Blackberry users for each email sent. Does it notify the sender every time the mail is opened, or only the first time? When the Blackberry email message is sent to Yahoo web based mail would these confirmations also be sent back to the Blackberry for the first time and every subsequent time the email is opened? Even if Yahoo Mail blocks images from being shown (I think this is a way mail opening is detected)?

(I don't know a thing about blackberry and little about Y!, and this doesn't address your questions at all, but you mention something wrong that I do know about. Read-receipts are a function of the mail user agent, which can choose to implement it or not, not some http-retrieval trigger on display of an HTML document.)

Disable rendering of javascript and viewing of images in your mail client. Not sure what method this system uses but if its a webbug then thats the only way to be sure.

Then theres the Outlook/Entourage read receipt method, but I would be surprised if yahoo worked with that.
