What's wrong with my firefox tools menu?

Why is my Firefox Tools menu horizontal instead of vertical?
I've googled, but had no luck. All of my other menus are standard vertical menus, but for some reason my tools menu is horizontal. I've looked through the about:config file, but I don't really know what I'm looking for. I'd like to know why it's like this, but mostly I want the menu to be vertical. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running XP, Firefox 3.0 RC1, and it started happening when I installed Firefox 3.0 Beta 4.

Well, it's beta. Uninstall, reinstall. Possibly a borked profile -- almost all Firefox glitches are traced to corrupted profile files in some way.

Best answer: I'd disable all your extensions. Probably there's one that's not yet compatible with v3.

Response by poster: Thanks, loiseau. It was an extension to generate grocery lists that was causing the problem.
