Is there a multi-topic blog that would work for a family?

Is there a blog that would allow me to blog about my daily activities and my kid within the same blog?
Must have:
Single interface to record daily activities for multiple people
Meaning – I don’t want to have to logout and in to do multiple postings
Postings are private by default
Nice to have:
Sharing certain posting with specific (logged-in) users
Adding photos to posting
Posting via text messaging
Uses tags
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This could all be done quite easily in LiveJournal; I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

WordPress allows multiple authors and also has built in privacy settings so you could make your blog invite only. I suspect the different authors might have to be on different accounts, which would make for some logging in and out, though I'm not sure.
