Deleting My Safe-mail.net Account

How do I delete my Safe-mail.net account if I can't remember the password?

I set up a Safe-mail.net around October 2006. I'd almost forgotten I'd done it. I think the idea was as a backup for my GMail account. And I think that last week, it filled up completely. So now, for every single email I receive in GMail, I get a bounceback email from Safe-mail.net. This is about the most intrusive tech problem I've had in a while.

What's annoying is that it seems that Safe-mail.net doesn't keep passwords. I've tried every password I can think of, and so far, I'm out of luck.

PLEASE help me if you know anything at all. Apparently, Safe-mail.net is run by people who don't speak English, and they aren't very responsive. I read this online, and so far, it's been true for me, too.

Maybe I don't understand the problem, but can't you set your gmail account to no longer froward to safe-mail.net?

Response by poster: I think that may be the fix. I had checked all my filters in GMail, and there weren't any going to Safe-Mail.net, but I'd totally forgotten about the forwarding option.

I hope this doesn't mean I've asked a stupid question?! Hey, if I work out the answer, it isn't stupid to me!

As a temporary fix until you hear from safe-mail, you can create a filter in Gmail to have the bounceback emails go directly to archive. "Create Filter" is located next to the search box. Set a filter that is applied to the email address that safe-mail is using and turn on "Skip inbox". You'll still get the messages, but they won't flood your inbox.
