I was on a Japanese variety TV show two weeks ago. Any idea how I can find it?

A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting in a hotel in Osaka, Japan, when a television crew showed up. According to some guy in a suit, they were filming for a variety show and wanted me (and two other Americans) to be guests. The skit involved us and two Japanese guys in pink robes with kanji writing on it.

They said the show would be on Channel 10 at midnight on Friday April 5. It was called "Maio Variedas" or something (that's a bastardized transliteration of the Japanese). The two other Americans tried watching it, but couldn't find it.

Can anyone help me find a clip of this show or even verify what the name is?

How about this: Wiki tells me that Channel 10 in Osaka is YTV.

According to YTV's schedule, Saturday late-night there is a show with two male hosts called MayoBlaRyu. Are those the guys?

The show is mayoburaryu or (マヨブラ流), the show on the 5th actually started at 12:55am. I think it's a new show so if you search for it on youtube it might only give you results from the episode you were in. Here is the website.

Response by poster: It's definitely this show...thanks for the help. Any idea how I might be able to locate a video? Or how I could get the name of the show in Japanese characters so I can search with that?

Best answer: If you're interested, the main comedy duo on the show is called Black Mayonnaise (ブラックマヨネーズ), hence the name of the show.

I'm not sure because I can't get on youtube from work, but this might be the exact skit you're in.

Wow, I have no idea what's going on!

But that's okay, I don't think anybody in that video does either.
