Anyone have any information about or experience with CIDA internships?

Has anyone here ever gotten a CIDA international youth internship? The website is really uninformative, and i can't find any info on the web. I am wondering how competitive it is, and whether it is hard to get one? Is this the last year? And if you do get one, when do you usually find out, roughly?

I went through the process a few years ago. The positions are very competitive and you apply directly to the NGO you would like to work with. There's little to no involvement with CIDA in the application process (they are the funders and just provide the NGO with money to run the internship program). So there's no set date where you will find out about the position. It depends entirely on the NGO's application/ interview process.

Incidentally, word is that the CIDA budget was reduced this year so funding for the '08-'09 internship cycle got cut. Not sure if the program will be back next year.
