Is forever longer than 6 months?

I was wondering about Patrick Moberg & Camille Hayton, the NYC subway couple from last year. Anyone know if they're still together? I suppose it's probably nobody's business but their own, but in a very cold world, sometimes the idea of "meant to be" is appealing.

A check on MySpace and Facebook reveals no reliable information. There is a group on Facebook dedicated to her, though, and I messaged the person who founded it- maybe he knows, and maybe he'll tell me. Or not. We'll see.

You could try calling the number... he might either be really ticked off, or... she might pick up, in which case you have your answer!

You can send a message to either one of them and ask.

I see only a white screen at camillehayton.com. Is there anything there?

There was earlier today at least- there was a drawn picture of a girl writing a letter, that linked to her hotmail e-mail address. That's all there was.

Well, I have no idea, but now I'm interested. And since the site linked is just "thanks, no more updates," can anyone link to a succinct version of the backstory?

It's a cold cold world. Here's what Gawker has to say about it.

Gawker said they broke up in December, but there's a picture of her in his Flickr stream in January, and the Reader's Digest article printed in February.

NYPress, who suggest that Gawker may not be the most disinterested source (but then, they played their own part).

The whole thing just feels too damn Inside Baseball for me.

Sad follow up: It's over. Sounds like Gawker was right when they said it ended.
