Does anybody remember the cartoon from Nat'l Lampoon of a giant hot dog standing by a mailbox, holding a letter that said, "You may already be a wiener!"?? I have searched high and low, north and south, over and under, everywhere for an image, but no luck. Can the Hive help? Thanx

I have it somewhere. Since I'm in the midst of moving, my ability to locate it is not guaranteed. I'll look.

Response by poster: Big Lanky,
Good catch but that isn't the original from Nat'l Lampoon. The original is just a line drawing and the look on the Hot Dogs face is perfect. It was on a pull out subscription card from the magazine. Thanks though. Search on, HiveMinders.

There's an archive edition of National Lampoon available on DVD-ROM. You may be able to track down a copy at your local library, through an online seller, or, uh, elsewhere on the internet.

I remember that cartoon - it may have appeared on a subscription card in the magazine. I think, based on it's extremely unadorned style, that it may have been one of Ed Subitzky's cartoons. (See also)

Response by poster: Barjo,
That cartoon was most definitely in the style of Subitzky, thanks for the lead.
