clever ideas for a secret buddy

I'm looking for some clever ideas for treats for my ultimate frisbee "secret buddy." They need to be small (not much larger than a big candy bar) and inexpensive (~$5). I don't really know this person that well, but I would like to be more thoughtful than just slipping her a candy bar with a note saying "good luck!". I think puns are more than called for in this situation, especially if they relate to ultimate or geology.

Geology? I suggest buying two strongish rare earth magnets (rings maybe?) finding some way to connect them with a length of string/rope/twine and give it to her as a "frisbee" tote. You put the magnets on each side so they stick together and then your frisbee has a handle. Clever and stupid [and vaguely geology oriented] all at once. Obviously do a reality check to make sure this will actually work and stick through a frisbee, but I bet it would.

Cow Magnet. *, ** Definitely.
*= does not attract cows
** = caution - magnet tends to erase mag strips on cards, etc. if placed near wallet.

Best answer: Geology is rife with puns. "Have a gneiss time". "Don't let the schist get you down". "The rift valley called, and said it's not your fault". Or simply, "You rock."

Best answer: Pop Rocks, of course.

A really crazy/awesome hat. The more distracting to the other team the better.

Totally get her a box of sugar crystal rock candy. White out or paint or otherwise obscure the brand name and write on it: "ROX FOR JOX." or, you know, rocks for jocks. Whatever.

Does she play disc golf as well as ultimate? If not (or if so), you can get a cheap (read: good introductory) driver for about 8 bucks, and you can print off a map of local courses in your area. I recommend the Innova Wraith as a good and cheap starter disc.

If she does play disc golf you might want to get her a mid-range or putter instead, most of the serious golfers I know only play with the ~$20 drivers because they're easier to find and are much more durable (they also drive better IMO); if she's just starting off though, she'll be much more prone to losing a disc and thus getting a cheap driver makes much more sense.
