Craig won't list my posts

I posted to craigslist >48 hours ago. Post comes up perfectly via the direct link, but won't show up in the category listing or through various spot-on searches. What's the deal?

Curious, I tried posting to several other categories (nothing offensive or otherwise likely to be flagged) but still, no dice. I've tried using Firefox, IE & Safari in Vista. In the past I have been able to post to Craigslist with great success. What might I be doing wrong this time?

Response by poster: Yes, I activated the post via the confirmation email -- the 'direct link' I mentioned is the one that appears after activating the post. I even returned to the post, edited it, and saw the edits take effect on the post page. I did clear my browser history, etc., and tried using several browsers on several computers. I'm really not new to the process of posting to craigslist... it just doesn't seem to be working for me anymore.

I'm going to submit a new post now, and if it still doesn't work I'll provide the link here.

Response by poster: Strange. I test-posted in another category, and it worked... yet a subsequent test post in the original category still doesn't show up. Hmm. Oh well, thanks for your help folks.

I've had this happen to me twice and I never figured out the problem, even after contactin the tech folks. I simply waited a few days and reposted.

You could always delete the post and repost in 5 minutes. Has worked for me in the past.

FWIW, my father was having issues posting to Craigslist this weekend when looking for a car. We don't know why either. I will be following this, waiting for an answer.

If you're still checking this thread, my craigslist posts never showed up after I confirmed and edited right away. If I waited for it to show up on the listing, and then edited they were fine.

Response by poster: I didn't confirm and edit right away; rather, I waited for them to show up in the listing (for 30+ minutes), then edited to see if that would jog things along. No dice... and they're still "up" but not showing in the listing.

onshi, i'm trying to post to craigslist in what i assume is the same city as you (and in the media jobs category), and mine isn't appearing on the main page either, although i too can find mine via the direct link. hmm.

Response by poster: Looking in the CL helpdesk forum earlier, I mostly saw people being accused of spamming and being told to try again later... my posts still aren't showing up. Strange.
