Looking for a photo sharing site that allows multiple people to post photos to a single album.

I know Flickr can do this with groups but we are looking for something private.

Gallery2 (http://gallery.menalto.com/ I believe) allows you to set any number of admins and other roles, I think, and, if you don't have a webserver to put an install of Gallery2 on, you can google for Gallery2 hosting and you'll probably find a lot of results.

Theres a new service thats currently in beta called GetDropBox. If your quick you can get an invite from MakeUseof and you can invite the people you want. It allows you to upload pictures or files to their servers and will create photo galleries for you that you can keep private. However it does require installing some software on your computer. But from what Ive played around with its pretty easy to use, simple drag and drop into the folder you want.

I second smugmug. It's $60-$150/year though.

Gallery2 will do that if you're technically inclined enough to set it up...

You can also have all your flickr photos set as private, and only give access to you flickr friends or just yourself.

You can make a private photo group in Flickr and have membership set to invitation-only. From the Group creation page about Private groups:

# Private groups are useful for families or groups of friends.
# Only group members and those who have been invited will be able to view the group page.
# Private groups are completely hidden from group searches, and don't display on people's profiles amongst groups they belong to.

You can set up a Wordpress blog and let everyone register and post to different categories.

Previously.

"Looking for a photo-sharing website where a closed group of people can all share and upload photos to a given gallery. Bonus points if no registration is required, and if it allows for big photo sizes."
