Looking for a book on leadership during times of great change

I'm looking for a fairly recent book about leadership during times of major change written by a female author.
It was recommended to me by someone in the peak oil / localization / community self-sufficiency movement, so word about it might be being spread through Bioneers or one of those forums.
The book basically says "no one knows where we are going. It is very hard to figure out what is coming next. That's why it's difficult to figure out what to do or how to lead." Then it offered some suggestions.
Ring a bell for anyone?

I don't know the book you're talking about, but I would recommend the books of Ronald Heifetz, a proponent of "transformational leaderhsip," the idea that real leaders are those that guide institutions, societies or organizations to necessary change. He writes a lot about the perils of such leadership, and ways to avoid those perils.

Salvia: Doesn't look good for you in your search for this particular author. So, I recommend that you may want to check out Linda Duxbury. She has written alot about change in organizations, and how managers/employees/families react and adapt.
I hate to "throw a starving dog a rubber bone", however, I hope it helps you somewhat.

Response by poster: Thanks all. That doesn't sound like a rubber bone, BozoBurgerBonanza.
I appreciate these ideas, and I'll let you know if I ever figure out what that original book was. Thanks!
