Overloading the cpu

Is it a problem to have 7k handles, 290 threads and 27 processes on an AMD 2400+ in windows XP, 512mb RAM?

Response by poster: Seems my drive is constantly transferring, but my pagefile has room. My RAM is about 70 percent capacity.

No, not necessarily any problem. I'd simply just guess that you have multiple web browsers open.

Are you experiencing some kind of problem that is leading you to believe there is an issue?

No, it shouldn't be a problem at all. I have similarly configured machines at home and work and both are currently running 9-11K handles, 350-550 threads and 43-54 processes. Both machines are only using about 4-10% of the CPU.

Are you running any programs that would constantly be writing or rewriting files to the drive?
