Do you work in venture capital, or have you applied for a job at a VC firm? What was the interview process like?

I did but there was no interview. However I was a reference for someone who had worked with us for another firm. The sort of questions they asked were related to relevant experience, was he good at working in unstructured environments, how did he cope with problems. You need to consider what you would want from an employee if you were running a VC firm and then ask yourself the very same questions you would ask candidates. It gives you some context and a mental rehearsal for the interview. If the interview is any more pretentious/hardcore than what I have just described, its a not a VC Id like to work for.
