It itches!

STI / Urethritis question. Details may be NSFW.

Background: A week ago Saturday I had a one-off sexual encounter with a woman. I wore a condom during the ENTIRE encounter. There was no penetrative intercourse and no contact between our genitals. She stimulated me orally and manually, during both of which I was wearing a condom correctly. The manual stimulation was pretty rough and lasted a long time, as I was unable to get a full erection.

The next day, I started to experience irritation in my urethra and a slight burning feeling while urinating. I have no discharge and had no other noticeable symptoms at the time.

I visited the local clinic on Wednesday. I didn't go into any details with the doctor. He prescribed "one shot" doses of three medicines in tablet form - Azithromycin for chlamydia, Metronidazole for trichomoniasis / gardnerella and Levaquin for chlamydia / gonorrhea. The doctor decided not to give me any tests for STI's.

I took the Azithromycin on Wednesday afternoon, the Metronidazole on Wednesday evening and the Levaquin on Thursday afternoon. My symptoms are about the same as they were last week, with the addition that the area surrounding the opening of my urethra now looks slightly discolored - darker purple than the surrounding area.

Questions: Given the detailed description of my encounter and my symptoms, what is the likelihood that I contracted an STI? What is the likelihood that I contracted some other infection in my urethra? What is the likelihood that the rough and long hand job simply bruised or irritated my penis and urethra? If I did get an STI, how long after taking the listed medications should my symptoms subside? How long would I remain infectious?

I will visit a doctor later this evening, so I'm not really looking for a diagnosis. These are simply some things that I failed to ask the doctor during my first visit, and I'm a little skittish about going into this level of detail with my doctor during today's appointment, so any informed opinions would be appreciated.

Tell your doctor at least the necessary details (sex, condom, vigorous yanking, continued discomfort, etc) -- he/she needs some information to work from.

My totally uneducated, but I had the exact same thing happen once, guess is that her being too rough is what is causing you the pain now, including bruising and maybe some tears/irritation in the urethra. But I am not a doctor, I am not your doctor, and don't listen to random internet people when doing so could cause your willie to fall off. And when you are already sore, that STD swab they stick in there really feels great, believe me.

I don't have much of a penis but the standard treatment for bruising/swelling is ice.

I know it happened a while ago, but if your tickle tackle didn't object vociferously, why not try some ice or very cold face-washers? Or put a wet tea-towel in the freezer, then wrap it around the afflicted part.

You poor possum.

Oh, I can't see that it's very likely you've contracted an S.T.I.. (My area has been health over the years, and harm minimisation for the last few. Not so much sexual, but it's technically part of my area. So, I'm not a doctor but when I work, I'm in health.) And I reckon it's mechanical.

Take care of yourself. ALL of yourself.

It could be an allergic reaction to the spermicide / latex of the condom, which would be worsened by the friction - allergies to spermicides are apparently quite common.

I doubt that it's an STI.

But then again, I'm not a doctor!

Sounds like you suffer from good old-fashioned Hickey Dick. It happens with overzealous oral action from inexperienced lovers. Leave it alone, it should go away. You can use a cold compress, but not too long, that's a sensitive area as you have discovered.

If it gets worse, it's probably something else so don't be afraid to call/see your doctor again.

Don't be afraid to tell women to stop when they are treating it like that. Women aren't born knowing how to treat men's equipment and vise versa. Let them know what feels good, what doesn’t, and you too can avoid Dick Hickies, or worse.
