07 mitsubishi eclipse gs or 06 chrysler crossfire limited?
i own a 2007 mitsubishi eclipse gs that ive had since last november. it has 22000 miles on it. But i am looking into getting into a 06 crossfire that has 15000 miles on it. since my car is payed off i would only have to pay the difference which is 3800. Do yall think this is a good buy? what is your take on the crossfire? Thanks for yalls opinion!

And there's nothing that can be done about the driving experience, which remains the Crossfire's most disappointing characteristic. The car is ham-fisted around corners and incapable of delivering thrills.
Sounds like a big step down from an Eclipse.

The rear wheel drive crossfire looks better, but I hear it is horrible in the snow. For me it would depend on where you live and if this is your only car.

I've never ever heard anyone say anything positive about the crossfire. And while I'm not a super intense car guy I've heard bad things from 3 or 4 people whose opinion I would trust on it.

Mod note: Grammar derail removed. This is not the place to have an argument about writing conventions.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I had a 1998 Eclipse GSX for a number of years and I was completely satisfied with the car. Very few mechanical problems, other than maintenance. Drivability was great, for the price. Also, I personally like the styling on 07 Eclipse more than the 06 Crossfire.

go for the eclipse.
my father had leased a crossfire and i hated it. poorly laid out interior and a terrible drive. incredibly difficult to get in and out of, and i'm a pretty average sized girl. i can not think of one positive thing about the car. after 2 years my dad was thrilled to see it go.

The Eclipse.
The Crossfire design (like most of Chrysler's cars) is a horrid, bastard mish-mash of borrowed styling cues from the 4-corners of the Earth.
At least the Eclipse is a purer, more focused design. You look at it, and you know what it's purpose is. That damn Crossfire doesn't know what it wants to look like.

I had to drive an Eclipse when I first learned to drive, and I hated it. I like the look of the Crossfire, but haven't heard any reviews except the negative one on the Forbes site you posted. However, if you like it and it's paid off, keep it.

That is, if you like the Eclipse and it's paid off... Sorry, I should have been clearer.

Eclipse 05 is not liked by these people. Don't know about updates.

My friend drove a Crossfire, and said that it fishtails quite a bit, and just handles poorly in general. It hasn't really received good reviews as far as quality goes, so I'd say go with the Eclipse. I've heard the latter is more powerful anyway.
As far as my personal opinion goes, I think the Crossfire is a piece of crap, and is just more evidence against the way American car companies are managed.

According to Jeremy on Top Gear, "The Chrysler Crossfire is the worst example of German-American cooperation since a man named Adolphus Busch came to America, tasted the water, and thought, 'Mmmm, I could make beer out of this!' And thanks to him, we have the headache in a can called Budweiser."
With that said, I think the Eclipse sucks, too. :)

Personally, I wouldn't buy a Crossfire.
