Looking for info on graphic artist

Minor curiosity has turned into a thorn between my toes, the way it often does: Someone named Dave Woolford did this graphic. I like it a lot, for some strange reason. But I can't find any info on the artist. Maybe he's a pro, or maybe it was just one-time sketch? I think it originally appeared here. I'd like to see more of his stuff, but Google does me no good...

I'd ask this one if he knows anything. But be careful! He might try to scan your face.

Maybe your image was one of his earlier failed attempts at face scanning, the one that convinced him to try subjects other than deformed zombie babies.

Sorry I can't be of more help. It looks like a one-off to me. The Dave Woolford I linked seems a decent fit, as he's a technical sort, into graphics, and he would have been of a reasonable age for creating such images in 1998.

Response by poster: Thanks man!

I would like to call myself an artist of sorts ... I think that scanned images of human faces are interesting. If you stare at these images long enough you become overwhelmed by a calm and relaxed feeling. Try it!

Face scanning IS sorta fun, just like it used to be with a copy machine. My pic in my profile is scanned.

i used to do a little bit of scanning. always wanted to do a VW. But i did a whole person several times, and a guitar or two.

nice scan in your profile shane. reminds me of the olden days when even my mother didn't have a scanner.
