Horsemen of the apocalypse paintings?

I'm looking for a few pieces of art I saw on the net a couple years ago. They were individual pieces of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and by a relatively modern artist with a name like Durand, Dorand, or something like that. Ring a bell?
All my googling of things like "apocalypse painting," "pale horse," etc with/without my suspected artist's name in there has been for naught. Maybe someone will have better luck? No, it's not Dore... but I love that etching of his.

I don't think you could call Albrecht Dürer modern. Other than not ancient?

--Can you, in any way, describe the type of "painting" (digital, oil, acrylic, watercolor, other)?
--Were the images vertical, horizontal, square, or circular?

Response by poster: I thought it was Durer for a moment.... but it's definitely not.
I know it was modern because there were portraits of contemporary figures (ex-Pope JP was one of them, I think) So he was painting in the last 30-40 years.
I'd guess it was Oil or Acrylic, certainly not watercolor. His horsemen. The images that I remember were horizontally orientated, if I remember correctly.
Google searches for various combinations do not find it... There was an entire, large page devoted only to his work.

Response by poster: Yes!! turtleegg got it. Man, that guy had some awful paintings, but the horses are great. I don't understand how that page didn't show up in all my googling of durand, art, apocalyse, etc. Thanks a lot.
