Best answer: need more information. are you a self-distributing author? what type of book because educational material may have a kind of differing audience than your standard novel / non-fiction trade title? you can submit your isbn to amazon.com - try kevin kelly's advice for self-publishing here:

and then hit bowker: http://www.bowkerlink.com/corrections/common/home.asp

without more info, i can't direct you. suffice to say if you're a new author with a publishing house, they should or their distributor should have your information fed out to all retailer / wholesaler databases as part of a regular info feed.

Response by poster: It's a fiction novel, eatdonuts. Nothing spectacular unfortunately.
