Literary Agents For Dummies

Can anyone direct me to a literary agent with connections at Wiley Publishing for consideration of a "...For Dummies" book idea?

I've been writing and editing books for twenty years, but have never used an agent. I hear that one must have an agent to approach Wiley.

I've written a handful of books for Wiley and I could get you in touch with my old tech editor there, but I remember the "For Dummies" wing of Wiley was treated like the Vatican -- they were the holiest of holy writers and you practically had to be granted sainthood before you could approach even an intern over there. They didn't want to talk proposals or ideas and it felt like there was a buffer of ten people between my editor and anyone in that division.

So yeah, you might need a very experienced agent to penetrate their confines.
