Looking for Alzheimer's Facilities in the Las Vegas Area

My mom has Alzheimer's Disease, which is progressing quickly and my brothers and I are looking for placement options in the Las Vegas / Henderson Nevada area.

Can you offer any suggestions in facilities that I should visit or avoid? Do you have any thoughts in general about things I should look for or see as a negative for a placement for a person with Alzheimer's Disease? Any thoughts on the cost for this type of care in this part of the country we should be prepared for?

--- As an aside, I have been reading Metafilter for a very long time and finally have become a member, with this being my first post. My many thanks to the numerous fantastic posts and discussions that I have read over the past few years.

Thank you.

Some Las Vegas resources: The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, Keep Memory Alive, Radiant Research, Las Vegas Alzheimer's & Dementia Support Group (looks like there's a listserv and in person meetings for family members), Alzheimer's Association (see Southern Nevada region).

From Alzheimer's Association web site: The Family Care Consultation program provides individualized guidance to families and individuals to address immediate needs and planning for the future, with ongoing support throughout the course of the disease.

My parents moved my grandmother into a facility in the vegas area last year, I'll see if they're willing to forward any of their research materials.

Response by poster: Thanks for the leads ClaudiaCenter. And anything your parents would be willing to share, nomisxid, would be most appreciated.
