random name generation

I'm looking for a website that generates random names, I believe I may have seen it posted on Mefi, or some other similar website, but I can't be completely sure. It wasn't like on of those, what is your Wu-Name generators, but something where you can actually pick how rare you want the name to be, female, male, first and last names, etc. Does anyone remember this?

I believe it was used in generating chracter names for novels, stories, etc.

I like drobot's link. I run the Random Words Generator which uses not particulary complex mathematics to generate new and interesting names. Given that the above link provides me with lots of names to train it, it should be very easy to create something that generates wierd and wacky names which are gramatically correct. Whatcha think?
