Showers at Heathrow T4?

Possibility of a shower upon arrival at Heathrow Terminal 4?

I'm doing an overnight flight to Heathrow T4 and would fancy a shower upon arrival in the morning. I've checked the BAA Heathrow website but it just says "showers available before and after security" without any particular details.

Has anyone done this? I'm not transferring to another flight... since I don't want to leave my luggage on the carousel, I'm assuming I would have to then find the shower "before" security (ie, land-side).

Looks fine to me, that being said, I unfortunately have nothing constructive to tell you about your airport shower situation.

Ask when you are getting off the plane??

I'm not sure where the showers would be land-side; every time I fly through T4 I can't see past the eighty bazillion people waiting for the three available BA agents. Yeah, don't care for T4 very much.

If you're flying with status (executive club or the like), they should have a lounge that will most likely have a shower in it; talk to your airline and they should be able to give you more information.

Your best bet is the lounges for the airline you're flying in on. In some cases, even if you dont have access you can still buy a day pass - it depends on the airline.

If not, there's this:

I had been told there were shower facilities in Terminal 1 so I went wandering through the tunnels and bus system. I found the shower in a public washroom. The good news: it was free, it was (relatively) clean and it had a locking door

Best answer: Yes, and they're actually free (if you bring your own towel; if not , it's £3 to rent one via the information desk or a courtesy phone nearby).

Looking at this PDF map of T4 (page 2), if you're walking out of customs and facing the road, turn right and walk past the escalators and elevators, and head for the restrooms adjacent to the excess baggage counter - there should be a disability-equipped restroom right next to it; the sign may look like this.
